Quarante ans d'histoire de France, de lutte implacable. Une vie personnelle et familiale parfois difficile. Et puis la suite. La transmission qui ne coule pas de source. Les attaques de plus en plus vives contre la nation.
Le mondialisme totalitaire, l'ouragan de l'invasion, l'écologisme maître de la pensée unique. Et la nation trahie. La droite et la gauche piétinant leurs valeurs respectives. Le peuple français abandonné par les collaborateurs du déclin, Giscard, Mitterrand, Chirac, puis par leurs minuscules épigones d'aujourd'hui. J'ai échoué à prendre le pouvoir, mais j'aurai fait ce qu'il fallait faire, vu ce qu'il fallait voir, dit ce qu'il fallait dire.
A temps. J'aurai été le tribun d'un peuple martyrisé. Advienne maintenant que pourra. L'heure vient où il faut regarder plus haut que la terre, en espérant pourtant que notre civilisation, notre lignée, trouveront le moyen de survivre. Vive la France quand même !".

En 2018, un mouvement social inédit a remué la psychiatrie française et se poursuit depuis, mettant en lumière les effets dévastateurs des restrictions budgétaires et des plans de rationalisation managériale que subissent soignants et soignés depuis trente ans.
Nourri de l'expérience de terrain du psychiatre Mathieu Bellahsen et des enquêtes de la journaliste Rachel Knaebel, ce bref ouvrage retrace l'impressionnant démantèlement de la psychiatrie française à l'origine de ces mobilisations. Il montre comment la psychiatrie de secteur, promouvant des formes de soins tournées vers l'émancipation des patients, comme alternatives à l'enfermement, a été progressivement étouffée au profit de la gestion normalisante de la santé mentale.
Et comment cette évolution a été favorisée par l'émergence d'une nouvelle neuropsychiatrie, opérant un changement radical. De l'autisme à la schizophrénie, le patient comme être humain n'est plus au centre du soin, seuls sont pris en compte ses neurotransmetteurs, son imagerie cérébrale, ses gènes. Il en résulte une attaque en profondeur du service public, cantonné à la gestion des urgences et des plus précaires, au profit d'acteurs privés qui prospèrent sur le marché des prises en charge réputées scientifiques.
Rachel Knaebel et Mathieu Bellahsen relatent également les luttes de groupes de patients et de certains professionnels, pour l'introduction de contre-pouvoirs dans l'institution psychiatrique, aux racines du mouvement social de 2018. Elles remettent la question du soin psychiatrique au centre de la société et permettent le maintien de pratiques alternatives, même dans des structures attaquées par la technocratie et la privatisation.
Un livre d'espoir, donc, pour les familles, les patients et les soignants, qui ouvre les pistes d'un futur émancipateur pour la psychiatrie.
